Came here to visit a longtime friend/former coworker for lunch after many years. With such a impromptu decision on my end, we had to find a place near the Chelsea area that we could grab lunch during the workweek and not worry about reservations. With the help of some nice referrals/recommendations, we found Cookshop to be the place. Not only was there no wait, but there was ample seating indoors/outdoors to enjoy the summer weather. As it was nearing the end of the week, we settled for some lunch cocktails. I got myself the Live from the Garden. I'm not a big gin guy, but I really did appreciate the cocktail as the cucumber and apples aptly hid the strong flavor of the gin. Can be dangerous haha, but one won't hurt. I also appreciate that it came in a larger glass so I could enjoy it through the end of the meal. As for the main meal, I debated between the butter bean & quinoa salad and the Sedanini, but couldn't resist the latter. My friend chose the former (with egg) and loved it. For me, the presentation sold me. You got the pasta layered in the lemon ricotta (great touch) and the sun dried tomatoes. A tad bit of heat with the chili, but thought it was very filling, even if the plate didn't immediately look so. The prices ain't for the faint of heart, so be prepared for this. However, if you have a special lunch planned and can afford to splurge, you might as well enjoy it!

TLDR: Been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint for brunch! FOOD: Bae and I quite liked the Huevos Rancheros and the Cornmeal pancakes with peaches, which we shared. Crème fresh on the Huevos Rancheros and crispy tortilla bits were nice. The peaches in the cornmeal pancakes were the star -- but the cornmeal added something nice in terms of texture! AMBIANCE: We sat on the covered patio outside, the side closer to the restaurant. Fans helped a lot on the July morning -- had it been later in the day and warmer I definitely would have opted for inside. The inside is very nicely decorated -- super cute. We came up pretty early (shortly after they opened at 10am on a Sunday) and there was a ton of space SERVICE: Good! No complaints. They brought us two smaller plates so we could share our mains more easily, which was nice. VALUE: Not bad for Manhattan. Boyfriend got an iced latte for $5, each of the other dishes were $17 and $19, so our total was under $50 pre tip. OVERALL: I'm a fan! I would like to come back for dinner sometime.

Cute place for lunch.. we sat outside on the patio on a nice June day. I enjoyed the focaccia and whipped ricotta and blistered snap peas. The focaccia was so fresh, crusty but soft. The ricotta and snap peas were both good as well.

A friend from Spain was visiting NYC for the week, and decided to bring her around Chelsea to have brunch here before taking a walk along the High Line. It's located in such a beautiful spot, the weather was great, the interior decor was wonderful! We had a very attentive waiter and thought the food came out at the perfect pace and speed. We enjoyed both the pancakes and the egg sandwich very much! We added the ham to the sandwich, and the textures and flavors came together beautifully! Highly recommend this as your go-to weekend brunch spot! It wasn't too crowded at 10:15 am on a Sunday!

I went back there with a friend few weeks ago. It was close to 20 years ago when I visited there for the first time. I was glad to see the venue is still busy and a happening place! The food is excellent and the service is great - no wonder they still are a popular place!

SKIP the beignets if you're looking for traditional ones! They're actually like fried dough balls. The buttermilk biscuit was delicious though and I wish we tried the cinnamon bun instead of the beignets and cornmeal pancakes. My partner loved the egg sandwich! Next time I'd try the baked eggs or huevos rancheros. The "When Doves Cry" cocktail was refreshing and yummy!

I would love to give this place five stars because ambiance and service were impeccable. However, portion size is small for the price and some of the flavors were not on point. The citrus salad, for $16, is hardly a salad and super small for the price. Flavor is there though. The tiny taquitos were $22 which is incredibly overpriced. And flavorless, unless you add the slaw. They should stand on their own. The mushroom sandwich was bomb, however. Great seasoning and plenty of shrooms. Fries were meh--crispy and plentiful but unseasoned. Maybe the brunch menu is better.

I've always walked by this place and noticed that it's typically pretty busy every time I've passed it. Finally decided to try it out for an early brunch on a Saturday. We did not make a reservation ahead of time, but we also went right when it opened before the brunch rush in the city. Food/Drinks: - Green Juice: $10 is expensive, but I don't regret getting this because it was delicious, and I'm not going to be making a vegetable juice at home. The combination of the cucumber, apple, and ginger makes it refreshing. - Baked Eggs: This was delicious! I requested that they make sure the yolks were still runny, and they were perfectly cooked. It does come with 3 eggs, but if you're looking for a hearty breakfast, then it might not be enough food for you as this is on the lighter side since it's basically eggs, salad, and a piece of toast. - Cookshop Egg Sandwich: My friend really liked this, and it looked quite filling. The potato hash had a little kick to it, which I loved! - Buttermilk-Cornmeal Pancakes: We ordered these to split after our respective entrees above, which was great as a sweet treat at the end of the meal. I don't think I could have finished the stack on my own if I had ordered it alone, so I'm glad that we split this. It was fluffy and delicious with the caramelized apples and whipped cream. Service/Ambiance: Love the open and airy atmosphere. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. It would be great during the warmer months to sit outside for people watching. The service was fast, attentive, and friendly. Overall: I would def come back to try other options!

I had lunch at Cookshop and the experience was outstanding. The waiter excelled in service, showing remarkable accommodation for our late-arriving sixth guest by ensuring their food was served quickly. The Citrus Salad impressed me with its flavors, and the Baked Spaghetti was an exceptional dish. Overall, the menu offers excellent choices that cater to diverse tastes
